The Golden Hours of a Sunset

It was another Saturday to say the least in the city of Bengaluru. A half day’s of work which would usually involve tracking the weekly milestones and planning for the projects for the subsequent week. Sometimes, a causal walking in the city or a meet up with friends would also be on the to-do list for the day.
However, this particular Saturday turned out to be different. After the office hours and during my lunch, I stumbled on a motivational quote which had a sunset in its visual department. This gave me that uncontrollable desire to click a landscape photograph of a sunset. To further fuel my excitement, it was a typical monsoon evening with rain bearing clouds in packets (as it was the initial months of the Monsoon). In a spur of the moment, I decided to go to a lake in the outskirts of Bengaluru which would face the sunset for me to capture the image and I found one such lake which is the subject image of this post!
The drive was good and relaxing and it was at the lake that things started getting interesting. The time of my visit was such that it was a tussle between the sun to show its glory during the sunset hours and the rain bearing clouds which were determined to engulf the sky! It was as if the lake was open to receive both the sun rays and the rains without picking a side.
I sat near the lake, desperately waiting for that moment wherein both the sunset and the clouds would show their beauty without having to compete with each other and then it happened! The picture was captured!
In the above picture, the lake is witnessing the shine of the sunlight and the ripples of the rains. The monsoon clouds took charge of revealing the sunlight and the sun in return, enhanced the colours of the clouds!
